Bertrand Portal is the Marketing Leader for the Power Transmission business at GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions setting long-term goals and developing strategies that promote our products and services portfolio of Gas Insulated Substations, Air Insulated Switchgears, Power Transformers and Power Quality Product such as capacitors and reactors. In addition, Bertrand is leading the product management of SF6-free solution for the complete High Voltage Switchgear portfolio.
He joined GE Vernova (Alstom Grid) in 2001 as R&D Project Manager for Generator Circuit Breaker (GCB) and then led the GCB business development based in China. Back in France, he led the Grid Solutions Technical Institute and later the Gas-Insulated Switchgear marketing team.
He is an active member of SF6 working groups at T&D Europe, Gimelec and Beama organizations.
Bertrand Portal holds an Engineer degree from Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France).
